PURPOSE: To support and thus relieve the tendon reflection under the foot (aponeurosis plantaris).
TAPING: First, a ‘tape anchor’ is placed circularly around the forefoot behind the pads of the toes (A). The second tape strip (B) starts from the anchor on the outer edge of the foot, goes around the heel (under the heel tendon) and under the arch on the inside to the anchor. Start the third tape strip (C) from the anchor on the inside edge of the foot, wrap it around the heel in the same way and feed it under the arch on the outside to the anchor. A possible fourth tape strip is started from the anchor on the outer edge of the foot, midway between the other two tape strips, and is passed around the heel and forward in the arch between the other two tape strips. Finally, finish with another strip of tape on top of the ‘anchor’ A.
