Overuse injuries in and around the hip are common. Injuries in the hip joint itself can cause pain both on the front, back and outside of the hip. The many muscles that move and stabilise the hip are frequently overloaded and are primarily treated with training adjustments.
Traumatic injuries can result in fractures of the pelvis, femur or damage to the hip joint itself. Osteoarthritis very often affects the hip joint. Imaging is often necessary to make an accurate diagnosis.
